The Seven Sacred Pools

The Seven Sacred Pools

What an awesome time we had, there was actually so many places that are special to us. But the Seven Sacred Pools is by far the a special place both in our minds and our hearts.

The road to Hana is well worth the adventure with the 617 curves, 55 bridges and the 55 miles to travel in both directions. It really does lake longer than 3 hours one way, because of all the beauty along the way that you just have to stop and take it in.

Aloha

The Seven Sacred Pools: A Natural Wonder
by: Denis

The Seven Sacred Pools, just past Hana, is indeed a magical place. Going there early in the morning is your best bet if you are looking for a quiet exploration, without any crowd.

I do agree with you Jon. The Road to Hana should be explored slowly. There's so much to see on the road and so many spots to explore along it (short walks to hidden waterfalls, great bamboo forests, etc.).

My advice is to book at least one night in Hana, so you don't have to drive back the same day. Wake-up early and go directly to the Seven Sacred Pools. Enjoy a wonderful hike without crowd and don't forget to swim in the several pools along the trail. It's paradise up there.

Bring your camera and a copy of the Maui Revealed Guidebook with you. Use the very useful 'road markers system' to find the good spots to explore along the Road to Hana (hard to find without the guidebook).

Don't miss this place, it's a 'Real Gem', as they say.
Denis :)
