Airplane Carry On - How I Lost My Yarn

by Bobbi
(Glen Ellyn, IL)

When I went to board a flight back from Guatemala, I had my knitting with me. All my yarn was taken because of "una regla", including a 4 inch piece of yarn in a plastic needle!

Knitting projects can find their way into the country, but beware trying to leave with yarn not already knit! (They did not confiscate my project and let me keep only the yarn attached to the knitting.) I hope the yarn gets to a good knitter and is used, not just disposed of.

Maui Airplane Carry On Advice
by: Sandra L.

What a story Bobbi! Who would think that knitting would be prohibited onboard... Good to know. I will have to find another way to spend time on my flight to Maui Hawaii next week. Will bring tons of Sudoku I guess... Pretty long flight from the East Coast.
